Terms of Use (EULA)
Effective Date: August 7, 2026
By downloading, installing, or using CaloNote (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Your use is also subject to the applicable store's terms of service:
- •Apple Users: Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) applies.
- •Android Users: Google Play Terms of Service applies.
This App is intended for users aged 14 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 14. If we become aware that a user is under 14, their account will be deleted immediately.
CaloNote is a server-based AI health service that provides food image analysis, nutritional tracking, and personalized health management. User data is stored on our servers and an account is required to use the service.
- •You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating your account.
- •You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- •You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
CaloNote offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions ("Pro").
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Billing | All transactions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. |
| Auto-Renewal | Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. |
| Cancellation | You can manage and cancel your subscription anytime through your App Store or Google Play account settings. |
| Refunds | All refund requests must be handled through the respective app store's support channels. The developer has no authority to issue refunds directly. |
| Price Changes | You will be notified of any subscription price changes via email or in-app notice before they take effect. |
If you reinstall the App or switch devices within the same OS ecosystem (iOS to iOS, or Android to Android), you can restore your Pro status using the "Restore Purchase" button within the App.
You retain full ownership of all data you input into the App (meal photos, health records, etc.). The Company processes your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- •You are legally responsible for any content you upload to the service.
- •You must not upload content that infringes third-party copyrights, portrait rights, or other rights.
- •Upon account deletion, your data will be disposed of in accordance with the retention periods specified in our Privacy Policy.
The App lets you share your meal and daily records, posts and comments with other users. The service has no public feed — content you share is visible only to friends you and they have mutually accepted. Sharing of new records is on by default and can be turned off at any time under Profile > Auto-share.
(1) Rights in your content
- •You retain all rights, including copyright, in the content you create and upload.
- •You grant the Company a non-exclusive licence to use your content solely as needed to operate the service — displaying it to your friends, generating previews and thumbnails, storing and backing it up, and handling reports.
- •This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account. Content under an open report or dispute, and records the Company must keep by law, may be retained until the case is resolved or the statutory period ends.
- •The Company does not use your content for advertising or promotional purposes without your separate consent.
- •You must own or have the right to post the content you share, and must not infringe anyone's copyright, likeness rights, or privacy.
(2) Prohibited content
- •Pornographic or sexually explicit material, and any sexual content involving minors
- •Violent or hateful expression, and discrimination against or denigration of any group
- •Harassment, threats, stalking or defamation directed at an individual
- •Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your identity
- •Posting another person's personal information, contact details or photos without their consent
- •Advertising, promotion or spam, repeated identical posts, or driving traffic to external sites
- •Illegal drugs, illegal transactions, or any other content that violates applicable law
- •Content that promotes self-harm or suicide, or encourages extreme fasting or starvation without medical basis
- •Posting someone else's copyrighted work without permission
(3) Reporting and enforcement
You can report any post, comment or user from the more menu (⋯) on that item. Blocking a user immediately hides their content from you and prevents them from sending you a friend request. The Company reviews reports it receives and may take the following actions:
| Action | Details |
|---|---|
| Unshare | Turning off sharing for the reported record so it is no longer visible to friends |
| Content removal | Deleting the post or comment |
| Warning | Notifying the user of the violation and of restrictions that follow a repeat |
| Suspension | Temporarily restricting access to community features |
| Termination | Permanently restricting the account for serious or repeated violations |
If you believe an action was taken in error, you may request a review at support@calonote.com and we will respond with the outcome. Content that is clearly unlawful or that threatens someone's safety may be removed immediately without prior notice.
(4) Your content after you leave
When you close your account, the records, posts and comments you shared are no longer shown to other users and are deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Content under an open report or dispute is kept until the case is resolved, and records the Company must keep by law are retained for the applicable statutory period.
If you choose to connect a partner service (e.g., gym, clinic), the partner's own terms of service and privacy policy will additionally apply. The Company is not responsible for the content or data handling practices of partner services.
You agree not to:
- •Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the source code of the App
- •Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- •Distribute or modify the App without prior written consent from the developer
- •Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the service
- •Unauthorized use of another user's account or collection of personal information
- •Input false information to misuse the service
- •Use automated means (bots, scripts, etc.) to generate an abnormal volume of requests
- •Place excessive load on the service's servers or network, or circumvent API rate limits
- •Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities, or manipulate data to gain unfair advantages (cheating)
The Company may restrict or terminate your access without prior notice if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the in-app settings.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for:
- •Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the service
- •Data loss resulting from user negligence
- •The accuracy of AI analysis results — the service does not constitute medical diagnosis
- •Damages arising from use of partner services
- •Service interruptions due to force majeure events such as natural disasters or communication failures
All content within the service (logos, designs, software, AI models, etc.) is the intellectual property of the Company. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any such content without prior written consent from the Company.
The Company may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance; other changes at least 7 days in advance, via in-app notice or email. Continued use of the service after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
